Virobe was founded by Virginia and Roberta, sisters united by the desire to create timeless tailored garments that preserve their character season after season. The name intertwines their identities and recalls the garment in its most authentic essence — shaped through gesture, cut, and fabric.

At the centre of Virobe is Eri silk, also known as Ahimsa Silk — a precious fibre crafted in harmony with the natural cycle of the silkworm. Hand-spun and handwoven in the Assam region of north-eastern India, it is created according to ancient artisanal traditions and dyed using natural elements such as tea leaves, flowers, and spices.
It is a fibre that combines structure and lightness, able to hold its shape while maintaining a natural fluidity in movement. Its softly pearlescent surface reflects light with restraint and, over time, acquires increasing softness and depth.
